Exhibits First Floor!
On the first floor we start out in the Paleo Exhibit (12,000 BC - 7,500 BC), continuing
all the way through the Mississippian.
You can follow the tracks around the room showing different types of tools,
a rock shelter, Native Americans, and local animals. This area features lights and sounds to simulate life
during these years.
On the right side is a log cabin that was built by the Meredith family in Edmonson County, Kentucky.
When you enter the log cabin you get the feel of what it was like in the early 1800's. Stepping outside you will find the garden & corn field
which was very important to pioneer families.
